A Successful Light and Sound Set-up at the Ynares Gym

Wednesday, August 17th, 2011

Modular Display Inc. has once again been part of an awesome event.

Last August 12, 2011, Ynares Gym Pasig was filled by a thousand audience and participants for the 2nd edition of Hospital Got Talent organized by the Department of Health. It was a variety show where members of public hospitals in Metro Manila such as the Philippine Heart Center, Philippine General Hospital, Fabella Hospital, and East Ave. Medical Center, and fifteen others have showcased their talents for a night filled with fun and entertainment, in celebration of Hospital Week 2011.

For this event, our mobile team has set up the best light and sound system we have in our inventory. We used the easy-to-navigate Presonus Studio Live 24.4.2 Digital Mixer for creative sound effects and enhanced performances. KV2 KX30 Active Speakers were also on top of the list. These speakers are so powerful that can accommodate the whole Ynares Gym. And we used Bardl Wireless Microphones that produces rich quality sound, the performers definitely enjoyed their performances. And lastly, everyone seemed so overwhelmed with the lighting effects on each performance number, thanks to our Eagle Fai and Weinas lighting systems.

After the performances, it was very fulfilling to see that everyone was so happy with the outcome. It was indeed a successful event and we are proud to have another satisfied client.

Modular Display Inc. supports "Benefit Concert for PGH Children’s Cancer Ward"

Monday, July 25th, 2011

Modular Display Inc. has recently made its mark into a life-saving advocacy held at the Santuario de San Antonio Parish Hall in Forbes Park, Makati last July 22, 2011. The Benefit Concert Event was organized by Ms. Ria Mackay of Aqualogic Swim Co. Its goal is to raise funds for the kids of PGH (Philippine General Hospital) Children’s Cancer Ward and help reach the 100% cure rate for children battling with the disease.

Acute Leukemia is the most common cancer of children. Doctors diagnose around 8-12 cases every month at PGH. It is actually 90-100% curable in centers in more advanced countries as well as in private paying patients in the Philippines. But in PGH, because of lack of funds, they are only hitting 50-60% cure today. It costs around P60,000-P80,000 per child for 3 years of chemotherapy treatment.

Recently, the doctors noted that the deaths they were having among these children with Leukemia treated at PGH were because of infection and lack of blood products for transfusion. So PGH made a policy decision to shift down their protocol. The treatment is just given on an outpatient basis and is quite mild. So patients don’t need admissions for infection or transfusions anymore. Little by little, as PGH is able to improve their facilities and get more government support as well as receive NGO support, they can intensify their treatment and hope to reach the 90-100% cure rate in the country as well.

And so for a very special cause like this, we at Modular Display set up our advanced and quality Audio Engineering: KV2 KX30 Active Speakers. We also provided Live Recording service. The very talented concert pianists Mr. Aries Caces and Mr. Oliver Salonga, as well as the remarkable sopranos Anna Migallos, Minette Padilla and Teenee Chan all wowed the audience by their outstanding performances. The couple Mrs. Dindin Fragada-Jodloman and Mr. Joey Jodloman also performed and everyone felt their duet of the song “The Prayer”. We have come up with 8 beautiful tracks from the performances. Thanks to our advanced approach to live recording using PreSonus Studio Live 16 and Capture.

But the most heart-warming part of the night was the video presentation showing the children fighting against cancer who will benefit for this event, as well as the kids who survived the battle. It is a wonderful feeling to know that someday, we will see these children smiling for the bright future ahead of them. And we are very pleased that Modular Display has been a part of this advocacy.

For donations to the PGH Children’s Cancer Ward, you may contact Ms. Ria Mackay at 0917.899.6545.

Modular Display Inc. turns Hi-Fi Horn Speakers a Quality Sound

Wednesday, July 20th, 2011

Modular Display Inc. always wants to have projects that will challenge our experience, skills and knowledge in providing high quality professional light and sound system.

And just like our recent installation project with Sisters of Mary Schools, we provided them the best audio products and services that we can offer. First, our client  had a problem with their microphones and speakers inside their gymnasium area. The speakers they have before was not clear and was not strong enough to provide a quality sound for a crowd approximately 2,200 students.

For this kind of problem the most effective and efficient products that we install are 8 units of CEO-PA CEE-70 Horn speakers, 1 unit of Phonic Icon 300 amp., 2 units of Titan12 powered monitor speakers, and 4 units of Bardl BCM 6200. We were able to easily install these units and we also position the speakers to the right sound dispersion. Even though we install horn type speakers but we can say that we can achieve a very high quality sound because these CEO-PA CEE-7 Horn Speakers are Hi-Fi in sound.

.

During the testing of the units, our client Sister Lucy Magtoto and Jerry, her technical staff, inspect the quality of the sound system that we provide. After the inspection, we were glad that they immediately approved our services.

Modular Display Inc. provides the best and high quality products and services in professional lights and sounds, plus, our expertise and knowledge so that we can come up to a very effective and efficient pro lights and sound services.

Providing solutions to audio engineering and client satisfaction is our top priority.

A Successful Public Address System Installation in CSC’s Training Room

Saturday, July 16th, 2011

Last month, we joined a bidding for public address system to be installed in the 4th floor training room of Civil Service Commission and we have won! Modular Display Inc., a light and sound company, met their qualifications and requirements in audio engineering. Who would’ve thought that a newbie like me would win over other veterans in the industry? Funny right? Lol

On this account, we used 8pcs CEO-PA 22T ceiling speakers, Phonic Icon 300 Power Amplifier, Bardl SF 8/2 Mixer, Bardl USF 128-H wireless microphone, Pioneer DV 120k DVD player.

So, on the day of delivery and installation of the items, we arrived at around 11:30 am. After inspecting our items we proceeded to the 4th floor training room.

6 pieces of ceiling speakers was installed on the main room, the other 2 was installed in the “lobby area” of the training room. The main room used gypsum boards so my team couldn’t crawl over the ceiling. What they did first was to take out 6pcs gypsum board, and then made holes using Keyhole Saw that would fit the 6” ceiling speakers. After that they did a lay-outing on pipes and cable. They have inserted the transparent speaker to the flexible conduit for the wiring of the ceiling speakers. Then I (3pcs of speakers only, it really hurts on my part cause I had to exert extra effort to take out excessive insulators) spliced the speaker cables then patched the cables to the amplifier. Then, they patched the cables of the
amplifier going to the mixer. Lastly the patching for the Bardl USF 128-H wireless microphone.

After all those hard audio engineering work, we finally tested the CEO-PA ceiling speakers, Phonic Icon 300 Power Amplifier, Bardl SF 8/2 Mixer, Bardl USF 128-H wireless microphone, and the Pioneer DV 120k DVD player. It sounded great! I even tested the microphone by going out of the room and reached the elevator which is approximately 20M far.

The last and final step was to teach the CSC’s over all technician on how to properly operate the items. He found it very easy to learn and very user friendly.

Another satisfied client! Mr. Noel Jao Pia.
