It has been a very exciting week for me. Finally, I got the chance to visit Disney Land HK with my family. Of course, one of the things I usually notice is the P.A. System of the park. Sound was very clear all over the park and speakers are all weather proof and majority are stealth. I salute the contractor and engineering team for a job well done.

The best parts are the show productions. It was another opportunity for me to check out the light and sound of The Lion King Musical. Lighting was so precise and it really moved my imagination. Every scene was perfect including the scoring, the performers, I think they have been doing it passionately for a long time. Even the stage moves up-down.

Even their 4D Cinema captured my attention. I think their system is in a 10.1 mode. The sound really moves around plus you get wind and water effects, WOW.

One thing also amazed me is the musical scoring of the “Small World”. Imagine streaming down the river to different countries. A 5 minute ride, 1 music “It’s a small world after all” BUT with different languages per country while the music is continuous. It’s really amazing.

I really think that the Disney production is very special and I will always remember it. And now since we are in this technical field, Disney will be our inspiration when it comes to Light, Sound and Music making every event an experience.
